If you come from abroad and land at Schiphol, we advise you to take a taxi or simply take the train to Alkmaar central.
The costs for a taxi are approximately € 110.00 and you will be dropped off at the door. The ride takes about 35 minutes. If you would like us to arrange a taxi for you, do not hesitate to contact the reception. If you choose to travel by train, the journey is approximately 40 minutes and runs every half hour.
As soon as you arrive by train at Alkmaar Central, it is only a ten-minute walk away.
When you arrive at our hotel, there are several parking options. If available, you can buy a one-time exit ticket at the hotel for € 14.00 for almost all major garages in the city centre. These garages are:
Parking garage 'De Vest' (2 minutes walk)
Parking garage 'Canal Peninsula' (5 minutes walk)
Parking garage 'Karperton' (5 minutes walk)
The exit tickets are not time-bound. They can be used once during your stay to drive out.
(You don't need the card to enter the garage.)
You can also leave your car on the street. From 09:00 to 21:00 you can park for a maximum of 2 hours for €2.86 per hour. You can park for free between 21:00 and 09:00.
We would like to draw your attention to the municipal parking policy in connection with the Saturday market. From Friday midnight to Saturday 20:00 It is not allowed to park your car in the street in front of the hotel; the Gedempte Nieuwesloot and also not on the Hofplein. In the event of a violation, your car will be towed away by Alkmaar enforcement, the associated costs amount to more than € 240.00.
